Cost of a Ride-On Ride
Ride-On drivers are here to support you!
Ride-On Transportation is the Consolidated Transportation Services Agency (CTSA) for San Luis Obispo County. They receive about $300,000 of transportation funding from the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments (SLOCOG) each year and provide $6.5 million dollars of transportation to the SLO County community.
Some of Ride-On’s services a subsidized by a governmental agency, so the fare for these rides can be as low as $3.00 each way. See if you qualify for any of these rides:
Veterans Express: Veterans can use Ride-On for door-to-door service from their home to a medical facility for just $3 each way. The ride needs to start in San Luis Obispo County and go to a medical facility in our county or Santa Maria. Call (805) 541-8747 to set up Veterans Express Ride.
Community Interaction Program (CIP): Residents with a developmental disability can get a door-to-door ride after 5 pm in the evenings Monday through Friday and all day on the weekends for just $3 each way. Call (805) 543-2039 to set up a ride.
Senior Go!: Senior 65 years old or older can set up a ride through Ventura Transit Services (VTS) at (805) 473-3333. The fares range from $5 each way to $10 each way (over 20 mile rides. VTS and Ride-On provide the Senior Go! rides.
Medi-Cal/CenCal: Riders who receive Medi-Cal/CenCal medical benefits may be eligible for free rides to their medical appointments. Call Ventura Transit Services (VTS) at (855) 659-4600 to check your eligibility and to make a ride request. VTS and Ride-On provide these rides.
Access Shuttle: If your income is less than $45,000 a year and you are a resident of San Luis Obispo County, you are eligible for two round trip rides a month at $3 each way. Call (805) 541-8747 to sign up for the Access Shuttle.
WAV Shuttle: If you us a wheelchair and live in San Luis Obispo County, you can use the WAV Shuttle for $2.50 each way for a door-to-door ride. Call VTS at (805) 473-3333 to set up your ride.
Ride-On has in-house mechanics, a fleet of over 90 vans, buses, and wheelchair lift-equipped vehicles that provide over hundreds of thousands of rides every year. Ride-On also operates contract services for Dial-A-Ride services in San Luis Obispo County.
