Senior Shuttle Ride-On is dedicated to providing affordable transportation services for seniors 65 years and over. Ride-On has a fleet of more than 90+ vans, buses and wheelchair lift-equipped vehicles to solve anyone's transportation needs.

Due to limited funding, the Senior Shuttle serves different parts of San Luis Obispo County on specific days of the week.

All Senior Shuttles are door-to-door rides. Advance reservations are recommended. You should call at least 3-4 days in advance to make your reservation.

Ride-On Senior Shuttle provides:

San Luis Obispo: Rides within the City of San Luis Obispo Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

North Coast: Plan your ride on Monday and Wednesday anywhere between Cambria and San Luis Obispo or on Friday anywhere within Los Osos.

South County: Plan your ride on Tuesday and Thursday anywhere between Nipomo and San Luis Obispo.

Five Cities Area: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday rides are provided within the cities of Pismo Beach, Shell Beach, Grover Beach, Oceano, and Arroyo Grande.

North County: Plan your ride on Monday and Wednesday anywhere in the North County to San Luis Obispo.

Ride-On is proud to offer transportation for veteran's in San Luis Obispo County from their homes to local veteran's clinics. This service provides veterans with disabilities, or veterans who have no means of transportation, door-to-door service to the San Luis Obispo or Santa Maria veteran's clinics.

The cost, $3.00 each way, is subsidized by contributions from the community and Ride-On. Rides are limited to once a month due to current funding levels. Call (805) 541-8747 to make reservations for rides, 2 to 3 days before your appointment.

Ride-On is approved by the State of California to provide Medi-Cal and CenCal transportation for individuals who cannot use public transportation to get to their medical appointments. For approved Medi-Cal riders, we provide transportation to medical appointments at no cost. Ride-On bills the State of California for the cost of this service.

Medi-Cal and CenCal participants can contact Ride-On's Medi-Cal Secretary at (805) 541-8747 to determine their eligibility for this transportation service.

United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of San Luis Obispo County has teamed up with Ride-On to provide a door-to-door transportation service for riders with developmental disabilities. This special service is available after 5 pm on Monday through Friday and throughout the weekends. The Community Interaction Program (CIP) driver will even support the rider in the community upon request.

With our wheelchair accessible vehicles, we can handle your special needs and medical shuttle transportation in SLO County. Our experienced and reliable drivers are trained to transport people with special transportation needs.

We make it easy to get you to your medical appointment anywhere in SLO County. The price is dependent upon the city of origin and the destination city. Our drivers will pick you up at work, home, or school, take you to your doctor's office or hospital, and return you to your original location.

Ride-On has sixteen years of assisting social service agencies find transportation for their clients. We now have a Mobility Coordinator who is dedicated to meeting the transportation challenges for seniors, people with disabilities, children, and other people served by social service agencies. The Mobility Coordinator works with all the transportation providers in San Luis Obispo County to find ways for people who don't have access to their own transportation, or who are unable to use public transportation, get around their community.

The Agricultural Vanpool program is designed to provide transportation for workers living or working in San Luis Obispo County.

The program was developed to benefit the farmworker communities across the county by providing safe, reliable, and affordable transportation to their worksites. The daily fare for this alternative method of transportation is as low as $3.00 per day and varies based on the amount of miles traveled to each worksite.

The potential driver will be asked to obtain a driving record printout (H-6) from the DMV to determine insurability, coordinate pick up and drop off times for the passengers, and collect fares from the passengers. The driver may not be a manager or in the position of hiring or firing the vanpool passenger. The driver position is not paid; however, he would be exempt from paying fares.
